Critical Reflection

Module learning:   Reflecting on my journey through this module, I successfully achieved the goal I had set for myself of presenting to large groups. One significant factor that contributed to my ability to present confidently to large crowds was Professor Blackstone’s method of having us read texts aloud in class. Initially, I was apprehensive about this teaching approach, but over time, I realised that it helped me to refine my public speaking skills and become more comfortable with my peers. The insights gained from Garr Reynold’s “Presentation Tips”, “Design Tips”, and “Delivery Tips” further enhanced my ability to deliver a smooth presentation.  The incorporation of blog posts provided a unique yet beneficial platform for receiving valuable feedback from both my peers and Professor. Contributions to Research Project

1. The team and I worked together to write the minutes for the project meeting, summarising the main points of the topic that were discussed. 2. Initially the team voted and agreed on the research topic of mall cleaning robots. However, after individual research and discussion with the team, we collectively agreed that we had a lack of expertise in the area of robotics. Therefore, we decided to change our research topic.  3. The new topic the team came up with was crowd management in restrooms. 4. In the technical report, for our introduction, I contributed by researching using google on the existing technology in restrooms. Wrote the summary of ideas as well as the purpose statement.
